On Relationships

Relationships - of all kinds - are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slip away and is lost.

*People commit crime for selfish reason*

Last week, when I was on the way to school and suddenly I heard a girl screaming for help. Then, I straight away went to look for her. I was shocked when I witnessed a girl was being robbed by a man. This gave me a whole idea of crime awareness which is alarming in the country. In this modernization and globalization era, people go against the laws to commit the immoral activities such as kidnapping, murdering and drug dealing because they are self-centered and they do not care about others' feelings. Thus, do you think it is right to commit crime for selfish reasons? In my opinion, I totally agree that people commit crime for selfish reason or for their own benefits because they are craving for money, want to fulfill their lust or jealousy and to survive in their life.
First, I would like to highlight that people commit crime for selfish reasons because they craving for money. In this rat race society, people tend to commit crimes to get more money because they want to increase the standard of their living such as having a luxurious life. Unfortunately, some people can make it but some people fail. If they cannot make it plus they are uneducated or with low paid salary, they will tend to commit crimes such as embezzlement and bribery. This is due to the reason, people will be looked up by others based on their well off appearance, for instance, luxurious car and branded bags will upgrade their status. Consequently, if they are having strong desire to have more money, they will tend to go against the laws and get involved in many illegal activities like robbery. Besides, they do not care about others and they just want to get more money to enjoy their luxurious life. In brief, commiting crimes for money is a selfish action.
Another point that I would like to highlight in this phenomenan of people commiting crime for selfish reason is because they want to fulfill their lust or jealousy. If people are feeling very lonely and they have strong desire to do some immoral activities such as sexual harrasment towards a girl by force. For example, when men see sexy and attractive girls walking on the pathway, they are being tempted and this will urge them to harrass those girls. This is because they want to vent their emotion and fulfill their lust and they do not care about others' feelings. Besides, people tend to commit crimes to fulfill their lust such as raping or killing people for excitement. If people are emotionally sick or pervert and get involved in triangle love such as when two girls are in love with the same guy, both of them might feel jealous with each other and end up with fighting. If this matter turns serious, it might also end up with a murder case. The girl is willing to murder the other girl, so that she can own the guy all for herself. Hence, commiting crimes for fulfilling their lust or jealousy is a self-centered action.
Last but not least, I would like to highlight that people commit crime for their own benefits because they want to survive in their life. Without any educational background, they could not get a proper job to sustain a living in the high cost standard in the city. As a result, this will lead them to commit crimes such as kidnapping and robbery to survive. Besides, they need food, shelter and other physical needs of life that lead them to commit crime for their own survival. Thus, they care less about the cosequences of their action and even ignore the pain of the victims from the actions that they have done. Other than that, some people are lazy to work for their life and always think about to go for an easy way so that they will tend to commit crimes for their self-centered reasons for instance stealing, break-in houses and car thieves. Therefore, commiting crimes for survival in their life is a selfish action.
In conclusion, I restate my stand that people commit crimes for their own purposes. Their selfish action is due to craving for money, fulfilling their lust or jealousy and surviving in their life. All of these are also not a good excuse for commiting crimes and these problems have to be resolved as soon as possible which needs the co-operation between the government and citizen of Malaysia.

*The abandonment of newborn babies reflects the collapse of family institution in Malaysia*

In this modernization and globalization era,the abandonment of newborn babies reflects the collapse of family institution.This problem is gradually increasing in Malaysia.One day,I went to the garden near by my house.Suddenly,I heard a sound of baby crying,then I straight away went to find the source of the sound.Finally,I found that a newborn baby was abandoned in the garden.Hence,I totally agree with this statement that the abandonment of newborn babies is due to the collapse of family institution is because of financial problems,lack of religion knowledge and too much of freedom and western influence.
The abandonment of newborn babies is defined as give or deliver newborn babies and dump them without any responsibilities and guilt and the collapse of family is defined as the destruction of an organisation of married couples in living together and raising children according to Eastern values.My first point is why all this happens is due to financial problem in the family.Parents work all day long to earn more money therefore they do not have time to care for their children and neglect their offsprings.Thus,their children seek love and attention from the brother figure.Then,they get involved in an intimate relationship with their lover to the extent od giving birth to unwanted babies.Since they are unable to raise their newborn babies and scared to tell their family so they dump their newborn babies in places like the toilet,garden,car park and dusbin.In brief,money can cause evil.
Morever,lack of religion knowledge is my second point of the abandonment of newborn babies.Religion knowledge is defined as the belief and worship in the existence of a god or gods.Parents,nowadays are busy working to earn more money,because they want to support their child's expenses in the future.However,they do not understand what their child truly needs that is their guidance especially in moral education.Without their guidance,their child can be easily influenced by the 'outside world' because they want to try new things especially sex.Hence,their child will have strong desire to know about sexual intercourse.After that,their child attempts to try sexual intercourse with their lover.Then,the girl will get pregnant upon pre-marital sex and the abandonment of babies or abortion will happen.In short,lack of religion knowledge will cause the abandonment of newborn babies.
Other that than,the third factor of abandonment of newborn babies is too much of freedom and western influence.Freedom is defined as the state of being able to do what you want letting nothing could stop you.While the western influence is defined as the western cultures that affect or change the attitude or thinking perspective of a person.Parents give too much freedom to their child and always leave them at home.Nowadays,their child's mind and soul are unsteady and can be easily influenced by the mass media like internet,radio and VCDs.For instance,immature children are exposed to the western cultures such as mingling around freely between boys or girls,clubbing and others.This is because their parents do not have time to take care and accompany their child.The result of too much of freedom will always bring them go clubbing and meet the bad friends and run away from home.Their friends will always bring them go clubbing and meet the bad friends or even take hallucinogen.After that,the girl will get pregnant after their bad friends have raped them.Therefore,the girls will dump the newborn babies or abort the innocent lives.In summary,too much of freedom and western influence will cause the abandonment of newborn babies.
In conclusion,the abandonment of newborn babies is caused by financial problems,lack of religion knowledge and too much of freedom and western culture.Thus,parents should spend more time accompany their child to the fullest.Sometimes,parents must also guide their children in moral education and play a role model for them to follow.

*Purchasing the lastest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries*

In this era of science and technology,students are becoming more concerned about acquiring the latest gadgets.It is a usual phenomenon to see students being very concerned with purchasing the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries.One day,I saw a girl beside the toilet and she was showing off her latest mobile phone to her dear friends.She said her latest mobile phone has many functions such as 3G and internet.Nowadays,students are being very concerned with purchasing the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries.Besides,they waste their money to buy latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries in their life.In my opinion,I think that to purchase the latest mobile phones and other luxuries are wasting of money,affecting their studies and producing sosial problems.
First,I would like to highlight that purchasing the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries are a waste of money.This is because,when the markets have new or latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries,they will use their money to buy them.If the students lack of money to buy the latest electronic and they will try to cheat their parents to give money to them.After that,they will use that money to buy whatever latest electronic they like.On the other hand,if they have the latest mobile phones,they will show off to their friends and let their friends know she has new or latest mobile phones.This will make other friends steal her latest mobile phones.Therefore,students purchase the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries are wasting their money.
Second,students purchase the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries will affect their studies in school.This is because they will bring their latest mobile phones to school and let their friends see.If a teacher is teaching in front of the students,the students will not care about what the teacher is teaching and they only use their latest mobile phones to chat with friends or take pictures.Besides that,they also use their latest mobile phones to go online,because nowadays the latest mobile phones are equipped with internet such as i-phone and you can be online anytime and anywhere.So,students will not concentrate on the teacher's teaching and they cannot answer the questions for exam is coming.In brief,affecting their studies is one of the points that I want to highlight.
Third,the point of the students purchasing the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries that I would highlight is creating more sosial problems such as gangsterism and robbery.If the student does not have money to buy luxury or latest electronic,they will try to borrow money from their bad friends like gangster.After,the bad friend will bring them go clubbing,meet some 'Ah Loong' and teach them to try some drugs.This will let brighter students become a bad future in his life.After that,the sosial problem will become worse and uglier.Thus,students purchase the latest mobile phones and other electronic will create more sosial problems.
In conclusion,students are being very concerned with purchasing the latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries will bring a lot of problems in this era such as wasting money,affecting their studies and creating more sosial problems.Hence,parents should spend more time to take care their children to the fullest.In addition,schools should also not allow students to bring latest mobile phones and other electronic luxuries to school.

*Examination*

Examinations are necessary in every school. It is a testing of knowledge or the ability by means of questions and practical exercises. One day,I saw a group of students are doing revision for their coming examination. In my opinion,I think that examination are part and parcel of our education system because it can know the standard of students,keep students to focus on their studies and make studying more interesting and challenging.
Firstly,I would like to highlight that examination can let students to know their standard or level is. If have examination,we will know the different levels of the student. Then,teacher will have ways to teach the poor or weak student and help them become better. Some poor or weak student fail one of the subject in exam,examination will motivate those hardworking and do more revision during free time. Besides that,examination also can motivate the student to get good results. Therefore,examinations are necessary in every school because it can let students to know where their level is and how to improve themselves.
Secondly,examinations are good ways to keep students focus on their studies because nowadays,students face too many distractions. If there were no examination in every school,some students would lazy to do revision and homework everyday. This is not good as our future working lives require a variety of specific skills. Thus,the aim to exam is to get more knowledge in our daily life. So the student can set a target and work harder to achieve their goals. In brief,examination are good ways to keep students focus on their studies is one of the point that I want to highlight.
Thirdly,the point of the examinations are necessary because it can make studying more interesting and challenging. Man is by nature competitive,so having regular examinations keeps students on their toes. They are force into studying hard to perform well compared with their peers. To me,it would defeat the point of going to school if nobody care how much you have learn,or how well you have fare. Therefore,examination are necessary because it can make studying more interesting and challenging.
In conclusion,no matter how much we loathe examination,but we still need it to assess how much we have learn and to evaluate our academic progress. So,examinations are necessary in every school because it can know the standard of students,keep students to focus on the studies and make studying more interesting and challenging.
